Sliding Scale FAQs

WHAT IS SLIDING SCALE PRICING?

Instead of being told an exact price for classes and performances, you are given a range. It is up to you how much you pay within that scale.

HOW DOES THE SLIDING SCALE WORK?

Based on your current financial situation, you can choose how much you are able to pay. If you choose to pay at the top of the scale, you are helping others access the class or event. If you choose to pay at the bottom of the scale, you are letting your community support you. Both are beautiful and acceptable. This is a system built on trust, so no questions will ever be asked.

WHY SLIDING SCALE?

We know that a lot of factors go into a family’s financial situation. And when money is tight, the arts are often first on the chopping block. But we value the work we do so much that we want to ensure all kids are able to participate in the arts, regardless of their family’s income. The sliding scale helps make this possible by letting each family decide how much they can spend each time they register for a class. If you find that you are struggling to afford even the bottom of the scale, please reach out and we’ll start a discussion.
